Arranging attendance
Tell us where the vehicle is parked, what went into the tank and whether the ignition or engine has been used. A filling receipt or container can help identify the product. If you are still on a forecourt, keep the engine off and inform the staff while arranging assistance.
Island attendance and access
Give the island, settlement, postcode and where the vehicle can be accessed. Ferry or other travel arrangements, site access and current availability need to be discussed for the exact location. Coverage does not imply a fixed arrival time or a permanently based technician on each island.
A coverage listing is not a claim of a branch or depot in each place. We arrange a mobile response and confirm availability for the location. Time spent on the job depends on the vehicle, tank access, quantity and extent of contamination.
Company vehicles and machinery
For a work van, fleet car, HGV or machine, identify who can approve the work and any operator or hire-company requirements. Include tank volume, multiple tanks, trailers, loads and any restrictions on where the vehicle can be worked on. Commercial and plant enquiries are individually scoped.
Choosing the appropriate service
Do not describe every incident as a standard fuel mix. Petrol in diesel, diesel in petrol and AdBlue in a fuel tank have separate guides. Water, unknown fluids and a suspect stored supply require their own assessment, especially where more than one vehicle has used the same source.
